For those of you who haven't met them, here is my awesome family. To my right is my wife Amee and in my arms is my 6 month old Chandler. I've labeled the picture with incredible creative detail above to be sure you know who is who...
The point of this post is very simple: I want to express how proud I am of my amazing wife on her first mothers day.
You know having your first kid is a difficult adjustment. Waking up in the middle of the night, feeding, changing diapers, trying to figure out "what's wrong with him" at 1am (the answer, as I've learned, is typically nothing). Having a new kiddo is tough work, but that's not all a mom has to deal with. I've been adjusting too, and that's not easy foe her either. I've had to get used to a new schedule and new adjustments. So Amee gets to deal with me and Chandler... oh fun.
Amee has been an awesome mom and she's made the transition great. She is really gifted to be a mother, and it makes me so happy to see her do something she loves. Shortly after having Chandler I posted on Facebook, "When you have a good baby and a wife that is so good at being a mom, it sure makes my job easy!" I still believe that six months later. I'm blessed to have a wife that is a great mother, and I'm excited to see all the great things ahead. Here's a little social media review of our first 6 months as parents!
"I'm on #babywatch this weekend so @noahyost called and reminded me to update my fantasy lineup early just in case. Thanks bro."
"Mom and Chandler are doing great today. Definitely a proud dad!"
"Dad tried to be helpful and change his first diaper tonight. This resulted in mom needing to wash everyone's clothes and give Chandler a bath. I guess I've got a bit of a learning curve here."
"Chandler only woke up one time last night! SCORE!"
"We've got 3 stockings on the mantel this year!"
"Success. Went much better once mom gets home...."
"Yes, I just fashioned a pacifier clip for my son with gaff tape. You're welcome, Mom."
